A decade after research for the book that Kira Gould co-authored with Lance Hosey, Women in Green: Voices of Sustainable Design, Gould will present a new look at the topic at Greenbuild 2015, in Washington DC in November.
Women in Green: Expanding Diversity for Design in the Climate Change Era will includes three presentations and a series of moderator interludes–as well as two special guests.
Gould will look at what gave rise to the book and what it explored, and what has changed–or not–since that time.
Susan Szenasy, editor in chief and publisher of Metropolis magazine, will be the moderator and provacateur for the session. Perkins + Will’s Gabrielle Bullock will talk about how Diversity Drives Innovation. Studio O’s Liz Obgu will talk about Creating Impact By Design. Special “green goddess” guest appearance will punctuate the session, and copious audience participation will be encouraged throughout. Join us … and bring stories about diversity efforts and successes, as well as questions about how we can push the industry farther in the next 10 years.
