William McDonough + Partners (WM+P) is pleased to share that William McDonough was named in Fortune Magazine’s sixth annual list of the World’s 50 Greatest Leaders. Fortune listed McDonough amongst 49 other leaders who are “transforming the world and inspiring others to do the same.”
Fortune recognized McDonough in part because of the pioneering designs he led at WM+P:
“Green” architecture arguably went mainstream thanks to McDonough, whose firms designed eco-friendly campuses for such giants as Nike and Ford. Today he’s a leading proponent of a “circular economy” in which sustainability drives all product design; he’s steering an effort to redesign plastics using materials that won’t pile up in our oceans and bloodstreams.”
Fortune’s inclusion of McDonough shows the growing recognition of and achievements in Cradle to Cradle Circular Economy design to improve our planet.
