William McDonough is set to announce a new design effort at Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day. The April 18, event will mark the 45th anniversary of Earth Day. McDonough will speak on the importance of eliminating the concept of waste and creating new uses for discarded materials for future generations, emphasizing a call-to-action to attendees.
Held at the Washington Monument Grounds on the National Mall, the day of activism and music will feature performances by No Doubt, Usher, and Fall Out Boy. Organized by the Global Poverty Project and the Earth Day Network, the free event aims to drive commitments and action by governments, corporations, and individuals in combating issues of extreme poverty and climate change.
