William McDonough received the J.N. “Ding” Darling Conservation Award at the 2015 National Conservation Achievement Awards. McDonough is among the six honorees that were recognized for their contributions to the conservation movement in America, by The National Wildlife Federation (NWF). Each year the NWF celebrates individuals as well as organizations for their contributions to protecting wildlife through advocacy, education, communication and on-the-ground conservation. Previous honorees have included Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bette Midler, Robert Redford, former President Bill Clinton, and former President Jimmy Carter. Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of National Wildlife Federation, stated “We are proud to recognize them and the contributions they have made to the conservation movement in America.”
