Meryl Streep and Susan Sarandon will join San Francisco gala honoring William McDonough

Meryl Streep and Susan Sarandon will headeadline the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute Gala honoring Cradle to Cradle® co-creator William McDonough in November in San Francisco. World leaders in design, innovation, technology, and manufacturing will gather on November 14 to honor McDonough and support the nonprofit sustainable growth certification organization, the Institute, which was founded by McDonough and Dr. Michael Braungart. The event will celebrate McDonough’s contributions to the sustainable growth (including the Hannover Principles, written 20 years ago, and Cradle to Cradle, written 10 years ago with Braungart) and green building products revolutions.

The event will be Wednesday, November 14, at 7:00pm at The Bently Reserve (301 Battery Street, San Francisco). Proceeds from the gala will support the nonprofit Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. Tickets available at: this link.

The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute is a nonprofit organization that was co-founded by William McDonough and Michael Braungart based on 30 years of work with industry. Its mission is to bring about a large-scale transformation in the way we make things. The Institute provides a continuous improvement quality standard to guide product manufacturers and designers intoward making 100% recyclable, safe and healthy things for our world. The Institute, using its product certification framework, works with leaders from academia, the NGO environmental community, government, and industry to implement a standard for assessing and constantly improving products used in everyday life.
