William McDonough + Partners is an affiliate member of the U.S. Regenerative Network, a member organization for manufacturers; the network is the latest brainchild of sustainable design movement convener David Gottfried. (The network launched in April 2010.)
On April 19, Kira Gould, director of communications with William McDonough + Partners, presented the NASA Sustainability Base project to the Regenerative Network’s membership on their annual Member Day event in Berkeley. Joining her at the podium was George Loisos, of Loisos+Ubbelohde, which was a part of the design team on the project. The team also included AECOM, and the contractor is Swinerton.
The project is under construction now and expected to be complete this summer.
The Regenerative Network brings together a select group of leading product manufacturers and service providers from the green building industry to form an exclusive business consortium. Its mission “is to exchange valuable “best practices,” increase sustainability performance, improve efficiency, and significantly enhance revenue for each Member of the Network.”
