April 8 marks the opening of Motion. Autos, Art, Architecture, an exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, including contributions by William McDonough + Partners. The exhibition “celebrates the artistic dimension of the automobile and links it to the parallel worlds of painting, sculpture, architecture, photography and film,” as stated in the announcement.
William McDonough + Partners has provided:
- Project for Ford River Rouge Revitalized Manufacturing Center, year 2000: buildings, landscape, water & energy systems, and Model U concept car
- Footage of “Waste=Food” (Icarus Films + VIPRO)
WM+P would like to thank the Norman Foster Foundation for the opportunity to collaborate on this thoughtful re-assessment of 100 years of popular mobility.
