As the nation’s first offshore wind farm gains approval nearby, we offer congratulations to the Woods Hole Research Center, which late last summer finished construction on their wind turbine. William McDonough + Partners worked with the Center starting in 2002 to develop a new facility and renovate an existing one. This client had a long term vision, and the wind turbine’s installation is just the latest chapter. You can learn more about the project in (Center Founder and Director Emeritus) George Woodwell’s book, The Nature of a House: Building a World That Works (with a foreword by William McDonough).
