Mixt Greens, a salad restaurant that emphasizes local and organic ingredients, was expanding its operation. William McDonough + Partners was hired to simultaneously design seven stores in three markets.
We worked with them to advance their trade dress (imagery that goes into a brand). We integrated new sustainable practices into their stores that were renovations. One of the features that we brought to the new stores is a new customer interface counter. Another is a living agriculture wall that is irrigated from reclaimed water. We also worked with them on materials and lighting to improve their selections based on Cradle to Cradle principles.
